Well I just couldn't resist one last layout using 'The Lakehouse' paper collection ... this Saturday Sketch left me with lots of room to move by way of design and I just loved using all these great stickers from the Lakehouse sticker sheet. Here is the sketch this is based on ...
I tipped it once to the right.

The Lakehouse Cards

Today I'm sharing some cards made with the lovely Lakehouse papers ... these cards were soooo easy to make ... all I used for the backgrounds was one bit of paper ... this one:

Then I simply added some rub-ons and embellishments that lifted them a bit. What a beautiful collection this is and how easy to pull cards together with these panels!
Thanks for visiting.

From Screen 2 Scrap June Challenge

Well It's been a couple of months but I thought I would have another crack at the monthly challenge over at From Screen 2 Scrap .... and here it is!
So here is the movie inspiration for my Layout:

So the challenge is to create a layout based on this movie poster and using the following criteria...

1 point – multicolours
2 points – hair related photos
3 points – 10 squares

As you can see I have actually managed to squeeze on 11 squares ( some are behind the title) and SIX photos!!! Oh my .... just saying it makes my head light!!! I'm sooooo used to parading only one photo on a page that putting 6 on there left me somewhat at a loss as to what to do next!? LOL

These photos were taken at a 60's dance party ... check out the gel in the boys hair! They loved it and were addicted to hair gel after that!

The girls don't have any special hair do's though ... they are girls ... I was lucky to get them to even wear those dresses as they all match and if there is one thing little girls like to do, it's stand out ... NOT look like everyone else! LOL

Anyway, this was a really fun layout to do and it gives you a sneak peak at one of next months new paper collections from Kaisercraft ... the 'Miss Match' collection lives up to it's name for sure, but is fun and funky all the same and these gorgeous polaroid frames come in an embellishment pack that go with the collection.

Thanks for dropping by for a look.

Check-In Cards

Well there was no getting around the 'travel' nature of the Check-In collection when it came to making cards with these fun new papers and embellishments ... fortunately for me I know LOTS of people who travel these days so a few 'Bon Voyage' cards will never go astray in my card box! LOL.
Once again the Acetate embellishments were the heros here,
making designing all these cards SUPER easy!!

Thanks for dropping by for a look...

Check-In Layout

This layout made using the new 'Check-In' paper collection came as a bit of a surprise to me ... when I first saw the collection I was struggling with what to do with it ... I don't travel ... with 6 kids in tow all I do is cook and clean!!
But I was trilled to find many of the quotes in the collection had generic meanings and could be used even in non-travel related subjects ... so as it turns out this was one of the easiest pages I've had the pleasure of putting together in ages! And thanks to all the acetate embellishments it all fell together without much effort on my part at all! LOL
Thanks for stopping by for a look. Smiles from Kel xo.

Saturday Sketch #3 June 2012

Well for this weeks Saturday Sketch I have hailed back to the bright and beautiful 'Bubblegum Hills' paper collection. It was perfect for these bright and vibrant photos of my husband daughter with Rianbow lorikeets on their heads! Also last week at the craft fair I managed to buy about a dozen very cool masks and as you can see a couple of them got a good work out on this LO ... I love masking with my distress inks!

Saturday Sketch #2 June 2012

My entry for this weeks Saturday Sketch was made using the 'Check-In' collection.  I don't really travel due to having lots of pretty young kids and  I'm amazed how versatile this collection is regardless of the photos that one chooses to use ... this isn't a travel photo at all,
but the papers work beautifully with it none the less.

I'm loving all the new wood flourishes that Kaisercraft have released lately also and as you can see I couldn't help myself in regards to them when it came to embellishing this LO!! My new favourite though would have to be those small hinges ... they are SUPER cute!

Watching Tim Holtz demonstrate at the craft expo on the weekend was sooooo inspiring that I couldn't resist adding a few safety pins to finish things off ... thanks for all the cool ideas Tim!

So on Sunday I was over joyed to attend the Brisbane Craft Expo... and as you can see from the photo above I was lucky enough to meet ( and hug) Tim Holtz ... I watched his Demo for over an hour, heckled him a bit, stalked him for a while after that ...
all in all it was THE BEST FUN I've had in ages !LOL

But the fun didn't stop there... look at all these scrapbooking superstars I also bumped into while cruising around the Expo...

The AMAZING Karen Shady ... my favourite Aussie Scrapper of all time!!

Yes this shot of me, Nerida and my 2 chins is a constant reminder that one must always drop your chin and look UP into a camera for photos!!! LOL

And the VERY Talented Rachel Greig ... Owner and creator of Darkroom Door. We used to write articles for the same magazine 12 years ago ( My Reflections) now days she really is an Aussie scrapbook industry Super star these days, yet still as lovely down-to-earth lady!

And Finally here are the biggest superstars of all ... my mates who joined me for this super day out.

The Lakehouse LO

This is another really simple LO using the new ' TheLakehouse' collection from Kaisercraft, there are no tricky techniques going on here, just some paper arranging!! As always I can't resist a bit of sewing on the page ... it just so easily adds something extra to pages in my opinion! And then are all those gorgeous stickers that are so easy to plaster where ever your heart desires LOL.
Now for my one pearl of wisdom ... EVERY girly page looks better with some pearl strips on it somewhere ... seriously .... you should try it ... take a girly LO ( any LO will do) and add a boarder of complimenting coloured pearl strips ... you WILL be amazed!! LOL

Saturday Sketch #1 June 2012

Made from the divine new 'The Lakehouse' paper collection by Kaisercraft , this weeks sketch was a breeze to knock up ... I just LOVE all these colours, the pinks and greens are a real weakness for me in scrapbooking ... I'm in very real danger of dying from too much pink! LOL But when you are onto a good thing, I say stick to it! In any case I very much enjoyed doing this page ... you can never have enough photos of the whole family when it comes to scrapbook albums!
Smiles from Kel.
